A FUGITIVE Brit and alleged drug dealer has been arrested in Spain following a bar fight in the Costa Del Sol that left a victim with his "guts hanging out".

The pub had only reopened a few hours earlier following an easing of Spain's coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Well-placed local sources named the drinking hole as Brit-owned Steve's Bar, which is popular with expats and holidaymakers.

Six Brits were held following the altercation, which led to a seventh being rushed to hospital for a life-saving operation after a stabbing.

Police had to call for back-up to make the arrests.

Civil Guard association AUGC said the stabbed Brit had suffered an "evisceration" injury.

Warwickshire Police had already launched an appeal for Williams' whereabouts after he failed to attend a hearing Warwick Magistrates Court last September in connection with drug offences.

They said at the time they believed Williams could be in Spain after flying to Malaga in August.

"Officers are carrying out inquiries with Spanish police and urging anyone with family or friends living or travelling in the Malaga area to share the appeal," a statement said.

Williams was facing a charge of conspiracy to supply cocaine.

He is now thought to have appeared before a judge at an extradition hearing in Madrid.

It was not immediately clear whether he had agreed to be flown back to the UK or whether his return would be put on hold while Spanish police investigate the bar fight.

The brawl is believed to have involved around ten pubgoers.

Pictures showed chairs tipped over as well as blood and broken glass on the floor.

The cause of the fight is not known, but local reports said the men involved knew each other.

It was also alleged that they were drunk and possibly under the influence of drugs when the violence flared.

One man required treatment in intensive care following the fight
