Will Ferrell

When Graham Norton asks Will Ferrell about how he became a fan of Eurovision, he says: "It happened about 20 years ago when we were visiting my wife's family in Sweden. One evening her cousin suggested we watch it and we sat there for three hours straight. I was slack-jawed."

He added: "I couldn't believe what I was watching. It was the craziest thing I'd ever seen. Everything you guys see – the spectacle, the humour – it was intoxicating."

Talking more about the film, he says: "We owed it to Eurovision and the fans to make sure it was well observed. Fire Saga has some appropriately good bad songs!"
Showing off his two favourite film mementoes, Will reveals: "I have the Channel 4 News ring from Anchorman. Ron Burgundy wore it every day of filming – it's a classic. And I have the prosthetic testicles from Step Brothers."

With the realistic prop filling the screen, he adds: "They are very lifelike, and I have brought them out much to the horror of many a dinner party!"

The release date for Netflix's Eurovision is yet to be confirmed.

Mark Ruffalo

Mark joins Graham to chat about his new Sky Atlantic series I Know This Much is True.
Asked about the difficulties of playing twin brothers, he says: "It was insane and I don't know that I would do it again because it was such a massive undertaking. I went completely grey in the year I was working on it."
Talking about the physicality of playing two different roles, he says: "I gained and lost weight. I could have put on 30lbs, but because I am 53 trying to lose it again would probably take me the rest of my life!"

He added: "Instead, I lost 20lbs to play one brother and then, when that was finished, I put on 30lbs. I went in both directions so there was a greater disparity and it was more healthy for me."

Revealing that he wasn't acting into a void, he says: "We stayed away from greenscreen to make it as homemade as possible but sometimes we had to put my face on another actor that played both parts across from me. Sadly, he gave the performance of a life time that you will never see!"

I Know This Much Is True comes to HBO later this year.

Miranda Hart

Asked about the 10 year anniversary of Miranda and whether she has celebrated the success of the show, Miranda Hart says: "It felt very British and a bit awkward celebrating myself and then I thought, 'F**k it – the show did really well and I am allowed to celebrate it and be proud of it.
"The biggest surprise was what it meant to people. After the second series I started getting letters – particularly from teenage girls and young women who said the show really helped them with their anxieties and helped them accept themselves."

She added: "Subconsciously, there was clearly more going into the writing than I realised – it was kind of cool to acknowledge that."

Revealing she has had a real-life Miranda moment recently during lockdown, she says: "My dog is 13 now and has gone deaf so instead of saying gently, 'Wee Wees' when she is outside, I have to shout it at her."

"The other day I couldn't get her back, so wearing just a towel I was shouting 'Peggy, Wee wees' at the top of my voice. It was only afterwards that I realised someone was filming a live Zoom PE class and I was in the background!"

Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal

Asked what they think of the phenomenal success of Normal People, as it reaches the 30 million viewer mark, Daisy says: "It's hard to believe people like it when we're sitting in our bedrooms. It's surreal."
Paul adds: "That's not even a number I can compute. It sounds really good and brilliant but it's not something either of us anticipated. It's just been good news after good news. It's crazy!"

Paul and Daisy joke about the explicit scenes in Normal People[/caption]

Revealing that older members of his family tried to avoid the explicit scenes, he says: "My granny warned my great aunt that there were a lot of sexy bits and that when she felt those were about to happen she should go off and do something else."

He added: "In episode two when we started kissing she took the dog out. But she underestimated the time it would take and as she came back in we were right in the throes of it all. I suggested that a good long chore or a couple of cups of tea would do the trick next time!"

Normal People is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

And finally, Graham listens, sometimes rather briefly, to more foolhardy audience
members brave enough to tell a 'Big Red Chair' story from their own homes.
